Jack Calvey, 33, born in Chicago, Illinois; second season with the Solons. His greatest baseball thrill was when, as a pinch-hitter for Toledo, he drove in the tying run in the ninth inning, and then drove in the winning run in the 19th inning. Managed Palestine, East Texas League in 1939; Salina, Western Association in 1940.
