Right handed pitcher Jarlett originally came out of the Piedmont League and went to the majors for a brief trial with the Phillies.

He was purchased by Sacramento from Toronto in the winter of 1945, and sold to Chattanooga, in the Southern Association, in the middle of the 1946 season.
