Sports editor of The Sacramento Union, Bill Conlin also conducted the daily column, "It Says Here." Conlin returned to The Union in November of 1945 after three years in the Navy. Previous to his naval service, he worked five years for The Union in various capacities from reporter to city editor. He was a graduate of Stanford Unversity.
